Overview
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients and visitors professionally and warmly, answering and triaging telephone calls, ensuring the reception area is clean, organised and adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
- You will be booking appointments for patients and handing out prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquires for patients and completing the relevant paperwork.
- Other duties include scanning paperwork, answering emails, dealing with referrals and general admin duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting is desirable but full training will be offered for the role.
- Knowledge of computer systems and basic software applications is essential.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
- Also essential is a compassionate and patient focused attitude and the flexibility to work varied shifts, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
