Job description

Chapelfield Medical Centre, requires a Medical Receptionist to join our busy practice. Interested applicants will be highly motivated and a great team player. Experience in General Practice is Essential. Hours of work are full time Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job
  • All reception duties, (we are moving to a Total Triage system) including dealing with patients and repeat medications.
About us

We are an extremely busy Practice with approx 11,500 patients and have 30 members of staff which include clinical and admin.

Job responsibilities
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Book appointments for all Clinics/Surgeries onto the System One computer system.
  • Dealing with telephone requests and queries from both patients and any other outside individual or agency.
  • Ensure Doctors rooms are tidy and stocked with the required stationery and
  • Maintain a tidy appearance in the reception area.
  • Accept New and Temporary patients.
  • Document samples to be despatched to the hospital.
  • Arranging ambulances.
  • Ensuring Practice mail is logged and posted daily.
  • Attend training sessions (internal/external) as and when required.
  • Flexibility due to the ever changing needs of the health environment.
