Overview

A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The unit provides a comprehensive repertoire of tests to the hospital trust, the Cambridge Comprehensive Care Haemophilia Centre and acts as a referral centre for Specialist Haemostasis testing for many other hospitals and organisations. The Haemostasis unit is located within a dedicated Haemophilia centre, working closely with the medical and nursing staff. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to take responsibility for day-to-day planning and prioritising of workload. Responsibilities

• Performs a range of routine healthcare science activities under supervision, e.g. sample preparation and storage.
• Maintains clinical records in relation to activities carried out.
• Work flexibly in reflection of service needs.
• The work of the service brings staff into contact with human body fluids, tissues and hazardous chemicals. This may include blood.
• Maintain and promote professional image of CUHNHSFT.
