Job description

I am partnered exclusively with a PE-backed Practice firm looking to strengthen their already high-performing Medical Accounts team. The firm has an impressive presence in this space, competing and clearing their competition even from the likes of larger, international firms, and have a surplus of clients ready to go. As such there is a need for an Accounts Manager who carries experience holding debriefs and performing final reviews with clients that are in the medical space, and with GPs especially.

You will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations for medical accounts, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, maintaining strong client relationships, and overseeing day-to-day billing and reporting processes. You’ll also contribute to the development of junior staff, collaborate across departments to deliver a premium service, and work towards becoming a trusted advisor who can support business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, end-to-end medical accounts services for clients across various healthcare settings.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact for billing queries, compliance matters, and financial reporting.
  • Lead and supervise assignments, ensuring timely delivery of services such as patient billing, insurance claims processing, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
  • Apply healthcare finance standards and regulatory requirements across diverse medical specialties and service lines.
  • Oversee project management tasks including workflow coordination, billing cycles, and performance tracking.
  • Coach and develop junior team members, providing guidance, feedback, and support in technical and professional areas.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to business development efforts.
Background
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • In-depth knowledge of the medical accounts market gained through demonstrable experience in a UK-based Practice firm
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver accurate financial services
