We are looking for a qualified and motivated Mechanics Tutor to deliver engaging lessons to learners at post‑16 or further education level. You will plan and deliver tailored sessions that cover key mechanics concepts while helping learners build vocational competence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons in Mechanics, tailored to learners' needs.
• Support learners in both theoretical understanding and hands‑on workshop‑based activities.
• Track and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and additional support as needed.
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and participate in departmental planning.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Work closely with colleagues and other stakeholders to support learner success and progression.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: At least 1‑2 years of teaching, tutoring, or training experience in a relevant mechanics or motor vehicle setting.
• Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and support diverse learners.
• Training: Experience with practical instruction, workshop management, and safeguarding practices.
• Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) is required. If not already held and registered on the update service, the cost will be the applicant's responsibility.
