We are looking for a qualified and motivated Mechanics Tutor to deliver engaging lessons to learners at post‑16 or further education level. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons in Mechanics, tailored to learners' needs.
  • Support learners in both theoretical understanding and hands‑on workshop‑based activities.
  • Track and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and additional support as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and participate in departmental planning.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues and other stakeholders to support learner success and progression.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience: At least 1‑2 years of teaching, tutoring, or training experience in a relevant mechanics or motor vehicle setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and support diverse learners.
  • Training: Experience with practical instruction, workshop management, and safeguarding practices.
  • Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) is required. If not already held and registered on the update service, the cost will be the applicant's responsibility.
