Mech Electrics is recruiting a Mechanical Site Manager to join a London delivery team supporting hospital and public‑sector decarbonisation projects. You will lead mechanical site delivery across live environments with long‑term work across the London region.

The Opportunity

This role is about belonging to a team, not chasing short‑term projects.

You’ll join a London‑based delivery team working across a portfolio of healthcare and public‑sector buildings, delivering mechanical upgrades, plant renewals and decarbonisation works within live environments. Projects are predominantly based in London, with work planned well in advance and continuity built into the programme. This is a long‑term role for someone who wants stability, progression and consistent work within the capital.

The Role

As Mechanical Site Manager, you'll be responsible for leading mechanical works on live sites, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing mechanical site activities across live buildings
  • Supervising subcontractors and coordinating day‑to‑day works
  • Enforcing health & safety standards and site procedures
  • Reviewing and implementing RAMS
  • Coordinating with Project Managers and engineering teams
  • Liaising with building users and stakeholders to minimise disruption
  • Monitoring quality, progress and workmanship
  • Supporting commissioning and project handover

You'll be a visible and trusted presence on site, keeping work moving and standards high.

What We're Looking For

This opportunity suits an experienced Mechanical Site Manager who enjoys structured work and long‑term delivery environments.

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or Senior Supervisor
  • Background in healthcare, public‑sector or complex buildings
  • Comfortable working in live, operational environments
  • Experience with mechanical plant, infrastructure or low‑carbon systems
  • Strong understanding of site safety and RAMS
  • Confident managing subcontractors and site delivery
  • SMSTS (or SSSTS with strong experience)
  • Full UK driving licence
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Stable, long‑term position within a London delivery team
  • Consistent project pipeline across the capital
  • High‑quality, purpose‑driven work
  • Supportive, delivery‑focused environment
  • Opportunity to grow with the London team over time
