Overview

Mechanical Service Engineer – An expanding engineering company based in Dudley is seeking a Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with experience in mechanical and hydraulic press servicing to develop their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Salary: Up to £45,000. Location: Based in Dudley. Status: Permanent. Start: Immediate start.

Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain and repair mechanical & hydraulic presses across the UK (occasional overseas travel required).
  • Install and commission new machinery.
  • Accurately use measuring equipment and basic hand tools (e.g., drilling, tapping).
  • Produce risk assessments, method statements and follow company H&S/quality procedures.
  • Read and interpret engineering & hydraulic drawings.
  • Carry out basic electrical fault finding (advantageous).
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
  • BTEC / City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with high-quality workmanship.
  • H&S training with practical knowledge of risk assessments/method statements.
  • Forklift Operator's Certificate / IPAF (advantageous, training can be provided).
  • Clean driving licence and valid UK passport.

  • Self-motivated with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Professional appearance with strong communication skills.
  • Resides within a 20-mile radius of DY2 8PS.
