Qualifications

  • HND, NVQ or Degree in Construction or Engineering.
  • Experience in site engineering, trade supervision or construction is necessary.
  • Must have SMSTS or SSSTS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support in developing work packs, permits and RAMS documentation.

Overview

This site-based role supports the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC systems at Hinkley Point C. It is ideal for candidates from mechanical or electrical backgrounds seeking to transition into nuclear construction. You will assist senior construction managers with site supervision, coordinate subcontractor teams, develop work packs, permits and RAMS, participate in progress walk‑downs and hold‑point inspections, and resolve technical or logistical issues affecting site activities.

The position is a 12‑month contract (Outside IR35) with a likely extension. Start date is to be confirmed. You will work on‑site 3–4 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Support in developing work packs, permits and RAMS documentation
  • Take part in progress walk‑downs and witness hold‑point inspections
  • Help resolve technical or logistical issues affecting site activities
Qualifications
  • HND, NVQ or Degree in Construction or Engineering
  • Experience in site engineering, trade supervision or construction
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification (required)
  • Understanding of QA processes and site safety practices
  • Organised, delivery‑focused and an effective communicator
