Overview

To perform maintenance, repair and installation work, including activities which are technically intricate and/or non-routine.

Responsible for calibration and fault-finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment (low pressure hot water systems, steam raising plant, Air Handling Units, steam sterilisers and associated equipment).

Undertaking maintenance repairs and minor improvement across the Trust as directed by Management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.

To undertake the day to day planned preventive maintenance duties and repairs. Checks and testing of the complete spectrum of services found in a building services environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance, repair and installation work, including activities that are technically intricate and/or non-routine.
  • Calibrate and fault-find on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment (low pressure hot water systems, steam raising plant, Air Handling Units, steam sterilisers and associated equipment).
  • Undertake maintenance repairs and minor improvements across the Trust as directed by Management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
  • Deliver day-to-day planned preventive maintenance duties and repairs; perform checks and testing of services in a building services environment.
  • Seline mechanical fault finding and boiler plant treatment checks as part of routine responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Estates Services Manager, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Supervisor and Estates Officers as required.
  • Work with water systems, ventilation systems, steam systems, air tube systems, heating and cooling plants, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify maintenance issues with minimal supervision and communicate effectively.
Team and environment

You will be working as part of #TeamMKUH, sometimes needing to identify maintenance issues on your own and supporting a collaborative team culture.

Salary and working pattern

Band 4 £35,730 - £39,210 per annum (including 30% recruitment and retention payment).

Hours 37.5 per week; all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working.
