Job summary

A leading engineering service provider is seeking a Skilled Labourer - Mechanical Mate for a project in Wrexham. This role involves assisting with the fabrication and installation of stainless steel and carbon steel pipework at a food production facility. Ideal candidates should have significant skilled labouring experience, preferably in food or petrochemical processing. CSCS or CCNSG certification is required. The position offers a salary of £20.00 to £22.00 per hour plus travel time and other benefits.

Skilled Labourer - Mechanical Mate

48 Hours Monday - Friday 8.00am - 18.00pm

12 months work.

Our client is a leading engineering service provider in specialist hygienic mechanical and electrical systems. Working almost exclusively in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. Operating out of offices across the UK their multi-disciplinary teams provide turnkey solutions from pre-project feasibility studies and initial conceptual design, through to manufacture, installation and commissioning, inclusive of all aspects of Project & H&S Management, Process & Service Pipework Fabrication, Equipment Relocation, Electrical C&I, Panel building & software, Civil Engineering and Construction. This is an excellent opportunity for a Skilled Labourer or Mechanical Mate to join the company's on site operation supporting a maintenance and new build project in Wrexham.

Duties

As a suitably qualified and experienced Skilled Labourer or Mechanical Mate you will be working on site at a food production facility in Wrexham, LL13 9UT. Typical duties will include assisting pipe fitter welders to fabricate and weld 1' to 4' OD thin wall stainless steel pipework, with a small amount of schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4' diameter along with carbon steel up to 6'. Other duties will include assisting with the installation of pipework, brackets and associated supports along with other mechanical fitting and general labouring duties as necessary.

About you

There are no accommodation costs paid with this contract so, ideally based in the Clywd you will need to live within a commutable distance of LL13 9UT.

Demonstrable experience of skilled labouring within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is preferred for this role.
