Overview

Mechanical Improvement Engineer / Ideally located within 50 miles of Birmingham with group wide responsibilities / £50,000 - £55,000 + car + 18% bonus + 10% pension

Our Client

Our Client is a leading manufacturer with a broad portfolio of products supplying the entire UK market. The industry can be described as heavy manufacturing but any manufacturing background will be considered as long as you are a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

Role
  • Based on days the successful individual will be responsible for driving projects and improvements to reduce downtime and increase throughput across all the UK manufacturing sites by implementing 100 year fixes to correct troublesome equipment.
  • These will be driven through root cause analysis and subsequent predictive monitoring techniques to prevent recurrence where necessary.
  • Small capital projects may be required and a positive attitude and a proactive approach.
The Person
  • You will be a Mechanical Engineer who has experience of running multiple improvement projects at any one time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Your experience will specifically cover mechanical assemblies, welding, machining and condition based monitoring techniques to understand, correct and prevent future issues.
  • Aside from good technical skills are a positive attitude and a willingness to improve the plants reliability and effectiveness
