Job description

Position: Mechanical & HVAC Shift Engineer

Type: Permanent / Nightshift

Salary: £50,000

Location: Manchester

We are recruiting for a HVAC Engineer to work a nightshift and cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a large scale estate in the Manchester area. The Air Mechanical biased Engineer will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance to the AC-R, HVAC and AHU's etc. The role is a permanent position paying £50,000. The position is 5/7 nightshift. Circa 20:00 - 04:30.

Responsibilities

• Completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects.
• Maintenance of AC-R, VRV's, VAV's, AHU's, FCU's.
• Basic mechanical plant room.
• Logging jobs via PDA and communicating with the helpdesk etc.
• Compliance checks.
• Supervision on contractors on site.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Air Conditioning or associated HVAC engineering.
• Ideally F‑Gas but not essential.
• Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience, some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
• It is essential staff are self‑motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
• Ability and desire to complete general mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
• Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
• Willing and able to pass security checks.
