Overview
Exciting opportunity to join an established Mechanical and Electrical Contractor with an outstanding reputation within the industry.
The Role
- Manage the planning and execution of projects in the Food, Pharma, R&D and building services sector. This includes but not limited to planning, executing and monitoring every aspect of each project.
- Meeting with directors and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
- Developing project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements
- Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of the team
- Monitoring project performance to ensure they are timely delivered and in budget.
- Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients, management and all relevant parties with progress, achievements and any issues and solutions.
- Manage suppliers, stakeholders and the project team for efficient project implementation and carry out performance reviews.
- Managing the client relationships and expectations for each project
- Manage project invoicing in and out of the business, including margin control
- Supply chain management with new suppliers and contractors.
- Manage and submit CHAS and Safe Contractor applications and certification.
The Person
- Project Management related qualifications
- H&S training such as SMSTS
- Full, Clean UK driving license
- HVAC / Building Services technical ONC or HNC would be beneficial
- Experience in a similar role
- Successful proven experience within a similar role, managing for projects worth up to £2m+
- The proven ability to practically understand HVAC design fundamentals
- Evidence of working on several projects simultaneously in and delivering them all on time and to the expected standard
- Evidence of proficiency in Building services drawings
- Experience working in a construction environment as a minimum, with a CSCS or SKILLcard ideal but not essential
- Evidence of knowledge in either Engineering, Mechanical or Controls
