Job summary

An established manufacturer of water processing equipment seeks a Mechanical Fitter for a long-term contract in Kempston. The position involves installations, requiring certifications like CSCS and SSSTS. Candidates should have mechanical fitting experience and be customer-focused. Qualifications

  • CSCS Card – Green (as a minimum), Blue or Gold.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification required.
  • EUSR (water Hygiene) certification needed.
  • Confined Space training necessary.
  • PASMA (Scaffold Towers) certification required.
  • First Aid training needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times and consider the safety of others.
  • Deliver mechanical services on defined projects.
  • Take instruction from a team leader.
  • Work in the workshop or on-site as required.

Job description
MPI require a Mechanical Fitter to work on a long term contract basis

40 hours per week

Mon - Fri 7:00am – 15:30pm, with half hour lunch break but this can vary when working on client sites

£19.00

Client / Role

Our client is an established manufacturer of water processing equipment, based in Bedford. They require a skilled mechanical fitter to assist with installations of equipment on client sites.

The role will involve travelling to client sites and assisting an engineering team with the installation of a wide range of processing / treating equipment.

Experience of working on Water Treatment works is always an advantage.

  • Full valid UK driving licence (or equivalent) – essential
  • Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme [CSCS] card
  • Valid National Water Hygiene card
