Engineer Surveyor – Lifting Equipment (Mechanical Engineer Surveyor)

Location: Oxford

Package: Circa £56K+ total package, including £42K-£45K basic salary, company car or car allowance, private health, double matching pension, and overtime opportunities.

Are you a mechanical engineer with experience in maintaining, servicing, or inspecting lifting equipment or cranes? Are you interested in joining a reputable, century-old test, inspection, and certification company? This role offers extensive training, with over £55,000 invested in your development within the first 12 months.

You will receive a basic salary of £42K-£45K, a contributory pension, yearly bonus, and a company car or allowance. The company is a SAFED and UKAS accredited professional services provider supporting various sectors including aerospace, manufacturing, forces, commercial, automotive, marine, utilities, industrial, and nuclear.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and certification of cranes and lifting equipment (including gantry cranes, crawler cranes, scissor lifts, MEWPs, excavators, FLTs)
  • Working in accordance with LOLER and PUWER regulations
  • Managing diaries and client relationships within designated areas
  • Maintaining technical standards and health & safety compliance

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 4 qualification or higher in a mechanical subject (e.g., HNC)
  • Hands-on experience with lifting equipment or cranes
  • UK driving license
  • Customer-facing skills
