Overview

Mechanical Engineer (Plant Maintenance) Irvine Plant Role description

Responsibilities
  • Provide the mechanical repair, installation, and planned maintenance of factory service equipment.
  • Identifying and repairing mechanical faults with factory services and equipment in order to maintain efficient operations.
  • Setting up and making mechanical adjustments to the factory equipment and services in order to maintain efficient operations.
  • Observing factory equipment and services to establish what planned maintenance work requires to be carried out.
  • Ability to carry out any related work, use of testing equipment, welding, burning, fabrication, and rigging.
Required skills / qualifications
  • Must be a Time Served Mechanical Engineer, educated to HNC level.
  • Experience in providing a plant maintenance service within a continuous process production environment.
  • Experience in welding and fabrication (from a role requiring multi-disciplines preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, personal drive, computer literate and customer focus.
  • A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.

  • Salary Minimum £32,358 - £39,886 Maximum
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
  • 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with option for condensed hours, plus 26.5 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
