Design Manager - Tooling

This role would suit an experienced Design Manager or a Senior Design Engineer looking for the next step in their career. Projects can vary in size from £50k up to £2m and often within automotive, medical, industrial, and aerospace industries.

A background in mechanical design engineering of tooling or other industrial design would be suitable.

Salary £55K - £65K, 25 days holiday, pension contribution, laptop & phone

Hours Monday - Friday, 1pm finish Fridays.

The role

• Manage a small team of 4 design engineers.
• Developing team skills set, motivation.
• Proactively engaging with emerging advances digital twins, Industry 4.0 principles
• Lead design reviews
• Participate in customer meetings to clarify technical requirements and present design concepts.
• Solving problems and initiating corrective actions as required
• Design using 2D AutoCAD and Inventor 3D CAD software, Inventor
• Design machines and systems from the concept stage through to the final detailed stage
• Involved with the planning, organising, delegating, and monitoring
