Technician Vacancy - Chesterfield - £47,000 OTE

Our client is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to work within their busy main dealership.

You must hold a level 3 qualification, applicants from both Main Dealer and Independent Workshops are welcomed, an MOT licence is preferred but not essential for this position.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience but expect circa £47,000 plus a host of additional incentive.

Just Recruitment Solutions are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician for a dealership vacancy.

My client operates in the local area, representing exciting Brands and an opportunity exists for those with NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service & Repair or equivalent and a stable workshop-based career profile, ideally gained within a Franchised Dealership or reputable independent Garage.

This role will be based within a busy Automotive Workshop, carrying out service and repair on a range of vehicles. The successful candidate should be qualified to NVQ L3 or equivalent and will receive industry-leading support and training in order to progress his/her skills within an ever‑evolving and highly exciting environment. You should be highly organised, conscientious and a great team‑player with a strong work ethic, completing jobs to Dealership standard along with all associated documentation. Plenty of overtime is available and a bonus system is in place, rewarding for productivity and efficiency.

About the position

The successful candidate for our Vehicle Technician position will have previous experience in a similar role and strong teamwork skills.

You will be welcomed into a friendly team and have the opportunity to work with an exciting product.

A large part of the Technician position involves:

  • Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
  • Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.
  • Speaking with customers on occasion to provide your expert, technical opinion.
  • Maintaining thorough and up‑to‑date product knowledge.
  • Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.
About our requirements

We expect you to demonstrate some skills that will prove very beneficial in the position, including:

  • Aptitude for multi‑tasking.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Quality awareness.
  • Communication skills.
  • Full driving licence.

MOT is desirable.

NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair, along with at least 2 years of post‑qualification experience are essential for this role. Though not essential, a valid MOT Smart Card would be beneficial.
