What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint two friendly, caring early years qualified practitioners to the role of Meal Time Assistant.

These roles support our growing lunch club across all provisions in Ham Drive Nursery School and Day Care.

A minimum of an Early Years Level 2 qualification is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and encouragement to children to eat their packed lunch.
  • Interact calmly and amicably with peers to create a safe, structured mealtime environment.
  • Form positive relationships with young children quickly.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and enjoyable lunch club experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Early Years Level 2 qualification.
  • Full DBS check (subject to safeguarding policies).
  • Disclose any relevant issues; comply with childcare disqualification, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), medical, online, and social media checks.
  • Right to work, satisfactory references, suitability to work with children.
Working Hours

11:30 – 13:15, Monday to Friday, term‑time only. Both posts are permanent.
