A private support service in Peterborough is seeking a Personal Assistant to help an individual maintain an independent life. The role includes accompanying the client on outings, assisting with baking and meals, and performing light household chores. Candidates must have a valid driving licence and a reliable car. Experience with Epilepsy is a plus but not mandatory.

Hours: 20 hours a week, worked 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Rate: £12.21 per hour
Area: Oundle, Northamptonshire (PE8 Area)
The Employer is a lady living in her own home in Oundle, with controlled Epilepsy and uses a walking stick. A personal assistant is sought to support her continued independent life, to enjoy her pastimes, and to enable her to access the community safely.
The Employer has a cat; however, there is no pet care involved in the role. Experience of Epilepsy is beneficial but not essential and will be discussed further at interview.
The successful applicant will be calm and friendly, able to give empathetic support while respecting the Employer’s independence, but also able to take instruction. Must be flexible, trustworthy, and active with a good sense of humour.
Please note, you will be directly employed by the person (or their representative) that you will be assisting. The Council is not the Employer. Sponsorship cannot be provided by individual Employers; your right to work in the UK must be confirmed already.
