An educational institution located in North Norfolk is seeking a Matron to join their pastoral boarding team. Working closely with the Housemaster/Housemistress and the residential boarding team, the main responsibilities of the Matron role relate to the overall pastoral care of boarding and day pupils between the ages of 13 and 18.

Founded in 1555 and located in the heart of North Norfolk, Gresham’s is a thriving co-educational school set across 300 acres of countryside, just minutes from award-winning beaches and areas of natural beauty.
We are currently seeking a Matron, to join our pastoral boarding team at the senior school, on a part-time job share basis (3 days a week, Thursday – Saturday during term time). The ideal candidates for the role of Matron would be an individual who is kind, caring, approachable and energetic with a passion for working with children and young people. The ability to communicate effectively between pupils, parents and staff is essential to creating a happy home from home environment for our children.
Previous experience in a similar role or pastoral/care background would be advantageous. An awareness of Child Protection and Safeguarding is desirable, however training will be provided.
