Overview

Are you a qualified teacher who can inspire and support young people with low-level social, emotional, and mental health needs? We are seeking a Maths Tutor to work with two individual students on a 1:1 basis, providing both general and GCSE level maths tuition in a unique, therapeutic learning environment.

This specialist provision is based on a working farm set within five acres of countryside. Students care for over thirty animals as part of their learning and development.

Location: Harwood, between Bolton and Bury

Hours: 2 hours on Mondays and 2 hours on Thursdays (4 hours per week, term time only)

Duration: Two academic years

Facilities
  • A classroom and food technology room
  • A stable block and small animal care area
  • Five acres of fields and a forest school area with an adventure trail, swings, teepee, and fire pit
  • A horticultural area where students grow fruit, vegetables, and herbs for use in cookery lessons, along with eggs from the poultry and apples from the orchard
Role Responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
