We are looking for passionate, dedicated and innovative midwife who has a particular interest in providing care for pregnant people who require enhanced individualised care attending our Maternity Day assessment Unit [MDAU].
You will work as part of a team who provide antenatal care, within the antenatal clinic. To provide evidenced based people centred midwifery care which can be delivered in a variety of models. You will work alongside other staff and will be supported by a Band 7 team leader.
You will receive support and development from the Senior Midwifery team, and Consultant Obstetricians.
Undertake clinical activity to satisfy NMC requirements for registration, act as a role model by maintaining clinical competence and credibility through evidenced based clinical practice, while being aware of the needs of their team
Provide and promote high quality midwifery care and advice within a multidisciplinary environment. Work closely with the Complex care team, Fetal and Maternal medicine Consultants.
Planning and facilitating a person's care within the maternity guidelines and recognising and supporting the need for individualised care plans. Particularly in people whose pregnancy requires extra surveillance
Be an advocate for the person as required, empowering them to promote their own health and well- being. Raise concerns on their behalf with the medical team as required.
Participate in the process of audit and research to evaluate clinical practice and guidelines and in the implementation of change.
Responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of written, digital and oral communication both for His/Herself/Theirself and for those within their sphere of responsibility.
