A regional health trust is seeking a Materials Management Assistant to support the implementation and maintenance of a materials managed service. This role involves daily ordering activities, managing deliveries, and ensuring compliance with Trust policies. Candidates should have strong attention to detail and be prepared for physical handling tasks as part of a collaborative team environment.
The Trust is embarking on an exciting period of change as we implement Scan 4 Safety across a number of key wards and departments at the Trust, initially at Westmorland General Hospital. The implementation will re-shape the role of logistics and supply chain to ensure the service is fit for purpose, delivers value and customer satisfaction in a sustainable manner.
The One Lancashire and South Cumbria Procurement Department is hosted by East Lancashire NHS Trust but staff are based across the region. The vision is to deliver an excellent procurement and logistics service with a focus on continuous improvement, value for money including savings and efficiencies, and improved outcomes for patients.
This post is based within University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and reports to the Scan 4 Safety Manager at Westmorland General Hospital.
