Training and Professional Development : Staying updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques. Attending training sessions, workshops and obtaining additional certifications to enhance knowledge and skills.
GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
Automotive City & Guilds / Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Manufacturer Master Technician accreditation (or working towards if brand‑specific).
Advanced diagnostic training including electrical and electronic systems.
Strong knowledge of DVSA safety and MOT requirements.
Up‑to‑date training on hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) systems.
Proficiency with manufacturer diagnostic tools, software and technical bulletins.
Significant experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician in a franchised dealership.
Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical faults.
Experience in carrying out warranty repairs to manufacturer standards.
Workshop experience with a focus on quality, efficiency and first‑time fix rates.
Supporting and mentoring junior or apprentice technicians.
