We specialise in high-voltage substations, battery energy storage systems, renewable energy, food manufacturing and industrial construction in high risk environments. Our approach is built on early-stage expertise, value-engineered solutions, and proactive project management.

Purpose of the Role

The Marketing Manager will lead Alpha Constructions marketing strategy and day-to-day execution. You will position Alpha as the Contractor of Choice for complex civils projects, driving awareness, trust, and client engagement. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, covering content, digital channels, communications, and campaign management.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Communications

  • Plan, create and publish case studies, articles, guides, and downloadable resources.
  • Capture, edit, and publish video and photography
  • Interview subject matter experts and translate insights into compelling client-facing content.
  • Maintain a rolling content calendar aligned to business development priorities.
  • Produce internal newsletters and communications to engage employees.

Digital Marketing

  • Lead Alphas LinkedIn presence and other appropriate social channels.
  • Manage website content, user journeys, and SEO optimisation (with external support if required).
  • Plan and run email marketing campaigns and newsletters, integrating with the CRM.
  • Monitor, report and improve marketing effectiveness using tools such as GA4, Lead Forensics, and Microsoft Clarity.

Marketing Operations

  • Provide direction to marketing/admin resource supporting events and campaigns.
  • Ensure leads and interactions generated by marketing are captured and followed up with sales teams.
  • Manage external suppliers and agencies as required.
  • Track budget spend and ROI across campaigns

Events & Networking

  • Organise Alphas attendance at exhibitions, trade shows, and client hospitality events.
  • Coordinate community engagement initiatives and CSR promotion.
  • Support bid/tender submissions and award entries with impactful content

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record as a Marketing Manager in B2B (ideally construction, engineering, or professional services).
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to create technical yet engaging content.
  • Confident in producing video and photography for marketing use.
  • Proficient in LinkedIn, CMS (e.g., WordPress), email platforms (Mailchimp or similar), and CRM integration.
  • Competent in design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with tender/bid marketing in regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of GA4, Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, and SEO best practice.
  • Experience managing external agencies or freelancers.
  • CIM or equivalent marketing qualification
