About the Role

Market Researcher – Micro‑mobility (0269‑25) – Derby, DE22 1GB

We are seeking a Market Researcher to join an exciting collaborative project with Toyota Manufacturing UK (TMUK) and the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC) to develop a new lightweight Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for the micro‑mobility market.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct market, competitor and consumer research on micro‑mobility vehicles
  • Translate research questions and user needs into appropriate methods for extracting competitor data and consumer opinions
  • Perform desk‑based and primary research on market demand and consumer perceptions
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues, Toyota engineers and industry partners; contribute to publications and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
  • PhD or ongoing PhD, or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing or a closely related discipline
  • Experience designing and delivering research projects, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Awareness of data security and research ethics
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to non‑specialists verbally and in writing
