Role Overview

As a Market Operations Specialist, you will serve as a frontline expert supporting Coinbase’s institutional platforms—Coinbase Spot Exchange, Derivatives Exchange (CDE), and International Exchange (INTX). You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales to resolve complex trading-related issues, respond to real-time client needs, and ensure operational excellence.

This position is perfect for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with a strong grasp of market operations, trading platforms, and client-facing technical support—especially in the digital assets and derivatives space.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert across Coinbase’s institutional trading platforms.
• Provide real-time support to institutional clients across EMEA trading hours.
• Respond to complex queries on exchange performance, API connectivity, market events, and platform functionality.
• Troubleshoot technical and trading issues, escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to improve workflows and identify service enhancements.
• Balance operational risk and scalability with client satisfaction.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in financial markets or technical operations within fintech, crypto, or traditional finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Economics, or a technical discipline.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to diagnose issues and explain them clearly to various stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of futures, options, and digital assets.
• Prior experience supporting trading platforms or working with institutional financial products.

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

• Working knowledge of APIs and FIX protocol.
• Proficiency in SQL or data analysis.
• Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot, JIRA, or similar CRM/ticketing tools.
