Qualifications

  • Degree or other relevant qualifications in Electrical / Control Engineering.
  • Proven experience in marine electrical systems development, design, integration, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with shipboard power management systems, switchboards, diesel generators, and shaft generators.
  • Experience communicating with ship staff to troubleshoot systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and review electrical and control systems for Rotor Sails.
  • Specify and integrate PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and associated interfaces.
  • Prepare technical documentation including wiring diagrams and operational manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with marine classification societies and IEC standards.

Skills

Proven experience in marine electrical systems development
Proven PLC Coding experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Good working knowledge of PLC Systems and VFDs
Experience with programming languages such as Python and C#
Familiarity with CAD tools
Clear written and spoken English
Strong verbal communication skills

Education

Degree in Electrical / Control Engineering
