A leading aerospace and defense company in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join their Operations team. This role involves working in a cleanroom environment to manufacture high value assemblies including radar and advanced targeting systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical assembly and a good attitude towards learning. The position requires on-site presence with a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern.

At Leonardo, we have an opportunity for experienced Manufacturing Technician's to join our team. The Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business, based in Edinburgh, is uniquely positioned as one of the world's top manufacturers of radars, lasers and infrared countermeasure systems.
On-site requirement – due to the nature of this role you will be on site and may be required to work a 4 days on 4 days off shift pattern. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will join our Operations team and have the opportunity to build cross-functional relationships and be a positive influence within the IPT to support the future of the business. You’ll work on things like the radar for a Typhoon fighter jet, surveillance systems used by coast guards to save lives at sea, or involvement in the assembly of cutting-edge avionic systems for a wide range of military aircraft. If you are someone who thrives at meeting business and customer goals then perhaps it’s time for a change. Shift working may be a pre-requisite for this role and that may include nightshift.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
