Job Title: Manufacturing Operative

Salary Range: £31,080 + 14% shift allowance (Overtime available)

Location: Towcester, On-site

Role and Business Summary

The Microwave & Functional Materials Capability forms part of the Electronic Systems and Materials Theme within the BAE SYSTEMS Advanced Technology Centre. A Manufacturing Operative is required to join the ATS business to support the Production team in the Manufacture of our range of products. This is an entry-level role, and so we will provide the successful candidates with robust training and guidance required to perform the role effectively.

Typical Responsibilities

The successful candidate will follow our standardised processes and use our equipment to produce a range of produces. Tasks include;

  • Spraying coatings onto different materials/ products.
  • Use of plant and equipment to compound and press Rubber and manufacture Resin based materials.
  • Manufacture of Composite components.
Your Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Behaviour
Essential
  • No Formal Qualifications required.
  • Good hand skills when working with a variety of tools and products.
  • Able to work both as part of a team and autonomously when required.
  • Desire to perform shop-floor based tasks.
  • A Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable (but not Essential)
  • Previous experience (academic or industrial) in spraying operations.
  • Previous experience (academic or industrial) working with rubbers, polymers or composites.
