Manufacturing Engineer

North Bristol

Due to expansion , one of YT Technologies key clients are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their thriving Engineering business.

Your role will involve :
  • Diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues through effective corrective actions, using data analysis to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Design and optimise workstation layouts, identify and implement process and capacity improvements, and scope, source, and deliver new manufacturing equipment.
  • Use CAD / CAM to design and manufacture fixtures or tooling, and run trials with new tools, machines, and processes to validate performance.
  • Work with suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost‑effective solutions, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production targets.
  • Provide feedback to improve product design for manufacturability.
  • Manage small‑scale road‑map projects, including planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication, and document processes, trials, and improvements to ensure repeatability.
Essential Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree or relevant formal qualifications (e.g NVQ level 5).
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify improvement opportunities, define them as viable projects, execute them efficiently, and implement stable solutions.
  • Capable of accurately diagnosing process issues, determining root causes, applying effective corrective actions, and ensuring problems do not reoccur.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical issues, communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and produce clear, well‑structured documentation that supports knowledge sharing.
  • Great digital skills, including high computer literacy and familiarity with Office 365 and databases.
