Job summary

A precision engineering company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to modify and improve press tools. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CAM software and CNC machining processes, with experience in Solidworks being desirable. This role offers a competitive salary and is located in Redditch, England.

Overview

Role: Manufacturing Engineer - Design Engineer (Press Tooling)

Location: Redditch

Starting salary: 48,893

Hours: Mon-Thurs (7.30am to 4.30pm), Fridays (7.30am to 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week

Holidays and Benefits: 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year inc. bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks inc. bank holidays following 1 year of continuous service. Death in Service Benefit 2x annual salary,

We now require an additional Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. Working in modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities for a company that manufacture precision engineered components.

You will be working in a first-class precision engineering environment that have processes such as machining, fabrication and a number of outsourced processes also. As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be working in a technical role modifying and improving press tools.

Responsibilities
  • Modify and improve press tools in a precision engineering environment.
  • Work with CAM software and CNC machining processes.
  • Use Solidworks for design activities (desirable but not essential).
Qualifications / desirable experience
  • Knowledge of CAM software and CNC machining processes (desirable)
  • Previous experience working with Solidworks (desirable)
  • Previous knowledge of press tool design within precision engineering (desirable)
