Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Grade G SCP 23 £34,434 – SCP 28 £39,152

Hours Per Week: 36

Base Location: Wilshaw House, Wilshaw Lane, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL7 9QG

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly developing Occupational Therapy Service in Tameside. We are an important and integral part of organisational plans for Integrated Social and Health Care Systems across the Tameside footprint. As a Manual Handling Practitioner we are actively involved in this process and at the front edge of delivery and development within these wider services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload with support from your supervisor.
  • Assess manual handling needs across community settings.
  • Recommend and assess equipment to enable service users to live independently.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Enthusiastic, passionate about learning and development, and a strong team player.
  • Car driver with own vehicle – essential.
  • Specified level of spoken English – customer‑facing role.
  • Subject to safeguarding checks (Enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK). Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children, young people and adults.
