Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts to tight deadlines.
• Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining supporting schedules.
• Producing and posting journals accurately and on time.
• Supporting the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
• Conducting variance analysis and reporting on key financial metrics.
• Assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
• Training and mentoring junior team members to support their development.
• Providing insightful financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making.

Management Accountant – Wigan (Hybrid working) - £40,000

Are you ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience? Do you have at least 3 years’ experience as a Management Accountant? Are you confident with advanced Excel functions like SUMIF, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and INDEX MATCH? If so, ArrowXL is looking for a Management Accountant to join our team — with a hybrid working model (50% from home, 50% from our Wigan office). In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering accurate monthly accounts, insightful financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making — all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. You’ll be hands-on with balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, budgeting and forecasting, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members. • At least 3 years’ experience as a Management Accountant in a multimillion-pound turnover business
• ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions like SUMIF, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and INDEX MATCH, with confidence handling large datasets
• Excellent time management, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
