Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years of experience.
  • Extensive accounting experience with cost analysis.
  • Excellent IT skills including accounting software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage WIP ensuring invoicing.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain stock control accounts.
  • Review debtor and creditor balances.
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules.
  • File VAT returns.
  • Review purchase ledger and follow up invoices.
  • Process transfers on e-banking system.
  • Suggest improvements to financial information systems.
  • Implement governance procedures and controls.

Skills

Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)

The Role
  • Management of WIP, ensuring eventual invoicing
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting of turnover and contribution.
  • Maintenance of stock control accounts.
  • Review debtor and creditor balances
  • Assisting in the preparation of year-end audit schedules.
  • Preparation and filing of VAT returns.
  • Review of purchase ledger, ensuring pro-forma invoices and payments on account are followed up.
  • Process transfers on e-banking system.
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
  • Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls
The Person
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), or qualified by experience 5+
  • Extensive accounting experience to include cost analysis techniques
  • Excellent IT skills including experience of accounting software, ERP Implementation experience preferable.
  • A proactive and organised approach with the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
  • Attention to detail and quality conscious
  • Excellent communication skills
