An award-winning hospitality group seeks a Management Accountant to prepare management accounts, conduct reconciliations, and support financial audits. The ideal candidate has relevant qualifications, strong analytical skills, and experience in hospitality. £38,000 -£42,500 per annum depending on experience + up to 30% bonus

Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including site P&Ls, central costs, and key operational expenditure lines. Work closely with Operations Managers to review results, investigate variances, and provide meaningful financial insight and commentary to support performance improvement.
Prepare and reconcile all balance sheet accounts to an audit-ready standard each month, ensuring full supporting documentation is maintained. Assist in reviewing the accuracy of accruals, prepayments, and other key balances, challenging assumptions where necessary. Assist with intercompany reconciliations across group entities, ensuring all balances are fully matched and supported.
Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all group accounts, working collaboratively with the IT team and General Managers to investigate and resolve reconciliation variances promptly.
Post monthly payroll journals and prepare detailed payroll analysis using the company's payroll software (Fourth), ensuring payroll costs are accurately reflected in management accounts.
Assist the Financial Controller with the annual financial audit, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, tax pack information, and statutory adjustment postings.
Prepare Group and individual company VAT returns for review by the Financial Controller, ensuring timely submission to HMRC and handling any resulting queries.
Support the preparation of annual budgets, new site budgets, and quarterly reforecasts through accurate data compilation and analysis.
Support ad hoc projects across the finance function, including system integrations, process improvements, and commercial finance reviews.
