Overview

Vertu Peugeot Harlow is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join one of the UK's largest motor retailers. We are offering a salary up to £38,000 plus company benefits.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant looking to take the next step up. A working knowledge of Kerridge or similar accounting systems and a Fleet/Logistics background is ideal but not essential. Previous motor trade experience is essential. You must be able to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial colleagues, clients, and customers.

You will possess excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills. As a learning organisation, we want our new accountant to be actively engaged in coaching and mentoring their team to instil a learning culture within the business.

You will work alongside the accountant in producing spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team and aid business decisions.

In addition to day-to-day accounts, you will also complete the following tasks:

• Forecasts
• Estimates
• Production of Management Accounts
• Payroll
• Reconciliation of balance sheets
• Accruals and prepayments
• Cash flow
• Reconciling manufacturer bonuses

We are looking for the following attributes:

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
