We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and are committed to maintaining a solid financial foundation. To support our expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team.

As an Assistant Management Accountant at Humble Grape, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our wine and food focused business.

Main roles and responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Conduct monthly cost reviews, analysing and reviewing direct costs against orders
  • Prepare weekly KPI reports
  • Prepare and post monthly prepayment, accrual journals
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review bank reconciliations and EPOS transactions
  • Reconcile control accounts
  • Reconcile bank accounts (multi-currency)Maintain fixed asset register
  • Prepare intercompany invoices and journals
  • Assist with credit control
  • Liaise with department heads to assist in cost management and tracking of actual spend against budget
  • Manage the company credit card and petty cash functions
  • Support the Management Accountant with ad hoc queries, analysis, and projects.
What Are We Looking for
  • Proven success in a similar role within a multi-site operation
  • Intermediate Excel skills with strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders both written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn
  • Experience of Xero (beneficial)
  • Hybrid working with some office days for meetings and collaborative work
