Overview

Moonbug is seeking a Management Accountant focused on business costs to support the growing Finance team. This role is based in our London office in the heart of Camden Town. Moonbug is an award-winning global entertainment company behind brands such as CoComelon and Blippi. The company operates on multiple platforms and continues to expand across media, music, events, and related experiences.

Location: Camden, London. Full-time in-office role. The role requires a keen, flexible mindset with several years of experience in a dynamic Finance department.

Responsibilities

• Create and post regular People related journals for the Candle Group business units
• Manage and maintain employee group insurance information systems
• Liaise with US Candle Group HR departments to ensure accuracy of monthly staff insurance payroll changes, data, and handling queries from management
• Management of intercompany cross charges within Candle and supporting business units
• Preparation and maintenance of loan accounting across the group
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Gain a solid understanding of our US business transactions and accounting flow, while identifying and recommending continuous improvement initiatives related to costing processes; champion new processes that support departmental and organisational objectives
• Business partnering with the wider business to accurately account for our business costs on a monthly basis
• Assistance with budgeting and forecasting across various expenditure lines, as required
• Involvement in the annual audit process for the Group
• Carrying out any other duties as required to enable the efficient running of the Finance Department and organisation

Qualifications / Requirements

• Attention to detail and being a completer-finisher with a proactive mindset
• Ability to understand the bigger picture and how inputs and outputs from the Finance team affect the business
• Able to prioritise with enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills to contribute to company values and team culture
• Advanced Excel skills are required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with audit processes
• Previous experience in the media industry is preferred
• Experience working with US GAAP would be a bonus
• Experience working with US Employee Insurance would be a bonus
• Experience working with NetSuite would be a bonus; ACCA / CIMA qualified
