About the Business
An opportunity to be a Management Accountant for a business based in Bromsgrove. It\'s a well-regarded, rapidly growing business with a fun and friendly team and great reputation. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and determined individual in a thriving environment.
Main Duties
- Support the month and year end processes to ensure the team deliveries accurate and timely information.
- Preparation of monthly budget monitoring reports and commentaries which are timely and accurate, recoding income and expenditure as required and ensuring the team are aware of the appropriate accounting treatment for any adjustments.
- Preparing the Management and Year Accounts for the Unions subsidiaries
- Supporting budget holders with the preparation of their budgets.
- Manage allocated control accounts within the Union, including preparing journals and reconciliations in accordance with the month end timetable.
- Oversight and support of the monthly Conference Centre Sales import.
- Reviewing month end information prepared by the finance assistants, reconciling and closing the subsidiary ledgers.
- Accurately preparing and administering the weekly payroll and expenses within the Unions payroll system
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the financial processes, systems and controls across the Union
- Oversight of the Unions lease and owned fleet of vehicles and sole responsibility of administration for the salary sacrifice scheme.
- Maintenance of the Unions fixed asset register
- Administration of the Unions investment portfolio, including preparing journals and reconciliations.
- Support for the financial oversight of our property portfolio, including insurance, service charge calculations and any reports required by the budget holders.
- Supervision of the finance team in the absence of the Principal and National Official (Finance).
- Support the Finance Team by providing advice, guidance and investigating anomalies that occur within the team\'s processes.
- Preparing, interpreting and presenting adhoc financial information as requested by budget holders within the Union and/or the National Official (Finance)
Location / Office / Culture
The role is super flexible and offers hybrid working with only 2 to 3 days in their Bromsgrove office.
The business is very flexible in its working patterns with only 35 hours a week required.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified is desired but not essential
- Experience as a Management Accountant and year-end involvement is required
