We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support an amazing primary school in Preston. This is a highly demanding role, working closely with pupils who present challenging behaviour and complex SEND needs.

The school is looking for a strong male role model who can build positive relationships, set clear boundaries, and provide consistent support both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND and behavioural needs
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement, and social development
  • Assist the class teacher with behaviour management strategies
  • Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support learning activities while managing challenging behaviour calmly and confidently
  • Follow individual educational plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans
  • Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
