Job summary

A leading food producer in Dungannon is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support production and maintain equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in production maintenance, particularly in Food/FMCG. Duties include fault diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime. This role offers a stable working environment with opportunities for long-term employment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in production maintenance, ideally Food/FMCG.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and fault finding skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Fault diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of equipment across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and completed.
  • Provide technical support and general maintenance across the site.

Overview

Our client are a leading Food Producer in Dungannon who are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their team, supporting production and carrying out maintenance to ensure downtime is minimal.

Hours: Monday to Friday with options of weekly early & lates, or 2 weeks early & 1 week days. Overtime outside of core hours paid at 1.5 rate.

Job Role
  • Fault diagnosis, repair, and upkeep of equipment, working across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed and completed
  • Providing technical support and general maintenance across the site
  • Working with electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic operated equipment
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives
  • Carrying out all mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
  • Assisting in the general upkeep and repair of the factory facility
  • Ensuring the continuous operation of all factory utility systems
  • Maintaining and promoting high standards of work and quality
  • Following company policies, procedures, and health & safety practices
  • Ensuring all systems operate in a safe and efficient manner as designed
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience working in production maintenance, ideally Food/ FMCG
  • Apprentice qualified engineering/ electrical or mechanical discipline
