As a top manufacturer our client requires a highly motivated Maintenance Technician with exposure with Electro-Mechanical maintenance to ensure the business continues to run effectively. A rewarding opportunity within a company who looks to offer opportunities to their staff.
As the Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on production and facility equipment.
Shift Pattern
4 ON 4 OFF - Rotating Shifts of 05:30am - 17:00pm & 17:30pm - 05:00am

Responsibilities
- Delivering fast, effective electrical / mechanical fault finding by investigating the root cause and identifying and implementing preventative solutions.
- Ensuring all corrective maintenance actions are carried out constructively and accurately.
- Using appropriate SSWs and PTWs and observing relevant legislation.
- Ensuring all items of plant operate efficiently and safely through implementation of proactive planned maintenance that ensures all departmental KPI's are met.
- Practising continuous improvement, innovation and pro-activeness for improved ways of working offering possible solutions to problems encountered wherever possible.
- Effective liaison with the operations team leaders and other members of the management team.
- Assisting in the training and development of other technical personnel and enhancing own skills by participating in specific training courses/programmes.
- Complying with company policy on accident and near miss follow up reporting.
- Monitoring performance of equipment, reporting/rectifying faults, and running breakdowns including the use of electronic planned maintenance/recordingsystems.
- Assisting with the daily plant operations.
- Effective communication of breakdowns and repairs done; verbally & via shift reporting.
- Implementation of improvement initiatives for quality, productivity and waste reduction for all aspects of production and the plant itself.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical/ElectricalEngineering.
- NVQ Level 3 qualified in Mechanical/ElectricalEngineering (desirable).
- Previous experience working as an engineer or technician and multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Working knowledge of 5S Principles.
- Able to find fault on electrical/pneumaticssystems.
- Must be a self-starter and able to balance the right culture working closely with production operatives/team leaders creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including motors, gearboxes, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control systems
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability toworkindependently or in a team environment.
