Maintenance Technician – Double Days

Salary Dependent on Experience + 20% Shift Allowance

Our client that design, build and service highly engineered products within fluid and motion control applications are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing and experienced team!

Maintenance Technician and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on the plant
  • Fault finding within the machine shop environment and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as appropriate
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks on machines and equipment in line with the CMMS schedule
  • Carry out complete site maintenance for all aspects and areas of the site, maintaining a high standard of site facilities and the overall site environments / appearance
  • Conduct best practice and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement with regards to plant and equipment reliability
  • Work in a safe and tidy manner in line with company policy
  • Perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required
  • Adhering to safe working practices
The ideal Maintenance Technician will :
  • Some experience with providing maintenance to CNC machines
  • A formal, recognised apprenticeship related to the trade endorsed by EITB, EMTA or AMA documentation or equivalent demonstratable experience
  • Fully skilled maintenance technician with either mechanical, electrical or electromechanical bias
  • Practical experience in fault finding within a machine shop environment, and the ability to repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • PC Literate
  • Practical ability to fault find from electrical / mechanical drawings or PLC systems relating to hydraulics or pneumatics circuits (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of modern maintenance philosophy (TPM / PPM / RCM) (Desirable)
  • Hold an academic qualification either BTEC, ONC, HNC / HND or equivalent
Working Hours :
  • 2 Weeks of earlies : Monday to Thursday 6am – 14 : 15pm, Friday 6am-12pm
  • 2 Weeks of lates : Monday to Thursday 2 : 15pm – 10 : 15pm, Friday 12pm – 7 : 30pm
