A leading retail company is seeking a Maintenance Technician across the Edinburgh areas. In this role, you will ensure stores maintain a safe and functional environment for all. As a Maintenance Technician at Tesco across Edinburgh areas, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our stores remain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike.
Your work will directly impact the shopping experience of thousands of customers every day. You’ll use your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently, always prioritising safety, compliance, and quality.
This hands‑on role requires a proactive mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high standards.
You will be responsible for:
Additional duties include ensuring all Tesco sites are safe and functional, following the planned work schedule to achieve first‑time fix, working closely with team members to share best practice and knowledge, and using mobile devices to drive the best approach in work completion and updates.
Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or construction environment is required. You must be digitally confident, using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.
Operational skills: ONC or equivalent, full driving licence, health & safety awareness, communication & collaboration, office knowledge. You must have completed all relevant technical training upskilling modules.
Annual bonus scheme up to 10% of base salary, starting at 25 days plus a personal day and bank holidays, 26 weeks maternity and adoption leave (after 1 year service) at full pay, 13 weeks statutory maternity or adoption pay, 6 weeks fully paid paternity leave, free 24/7 virtual GP service, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for you and your family.
