Job description
Maintenance Surveyor

Salary: National £33,592 – £46,189 per annum

Hours: 36 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Braintree, Bishops Stortford and surrounding areas

Reporting to the Neighbourhood Repairs Manager, you will be responsible for pre/post‑inspection, reporting for responsive repairs, void works and cyclical repairs, consulting and engaging with customers and leaseholders, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

You will plan and coordinate repair, maintenance and construction work to deliver according to cost, time and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include undertaking building and technical surveys to determine the building condition, identify defects and associated risks, carry out major void inspections and ensure work is completed in line with KPIs, and make recommendations based on survey findings.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Surveying, Property and Maintenance (Level 3)
  • Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS or CIOB)
  • Ability to travel across the region as required
  • Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available. You are required to reside in England or Wales during your employment.
