Overview

Maintenance Support Operative Wakefield — Salary: £25,305 - £25,308 per annum + shift premiums & benefits. Hours: 41.08 hrs/week (rotating shifts including evenings and Sundays). Positions: 2. Reference: 62908.

About the Role

Join a leading pharmaceutical distribution site as a Maintenance Support Operative. You will assist in planned and preventative maintenance of automated volume picking machinery, gaining hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and immediate response to equipment breakdowns
• Carry out testing, visual and physical checks on machinery
• Help prepare and maintain machinery for efficient operation
• Work mostly standing and walking; occasional lifting (up to 15kg), bending, kneeling, and crouching

What We re Looking For

• Basic maintenance experience
• Good attention to detail and communication skills
• Physically able to meet role demands
• Ability to pass a DBS check (company-funded)
• Motivated, team-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Logistics or engineering background preferred but not essential
