Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a global company, who specialise with the Energy from Waste industry, to recruit for a Mechanical Technician to join their new EfW Power Station in Slough, Berkshire.

The vital Maintenance Supervisor role comes with a salary of up to 63,996 + 2,500 call out allowance + Bonus + Private Medical + Pension + Benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Overseeing the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including Superuser administration, preparation of delegated work packs, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track all routine and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the team and management to plan outages in line with the business plan.
  • Develop and implement an inspection and monitoring program to ensure equipment and plant performance is optimized, reducing the risk of incidents or failures.
  • Organising and executing maintenance activities to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Administer and maintain the preventative maintenance schedule.
Professional qualifications
  • Ideally have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering.
  • A health and safety qualification such as an IOSH will be highly advantageous.
Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge
  • Prior hands‑on maintenance experience working with Mechanical, Electrical or C&I equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of CMMS systems including implementation and development.
  • Prior experience working in heavy engineering environments such as Power, Steel, Cement, Pharmaceutical, COMAH, Paper Mills, etc.
  • Royal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers will also be considered for this opportunity.
