Qualifications

Salary: £12.65ph & Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent - Part Time 24hrs

Shifts: Various Shift Patterns & Weekends on Rota

As a Maintenance Operative at Richmond Village Nantwich, you'll ensure the care home remains functional at all times and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll help us make health happen by:

Ensuring that all maintenance and repair tasks are completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to our residents and visitors, including the maintenance of offices, workshops, and plant rooms

Contributing to the management of the maintenance budget, taking the lead as appropriate

Carrying out ad‑hoc internal decoration of all accessible areas as indicated, ensuring it's maintained to a high standard

Reporting unrepairable defects to management, escalating, or seeking specialist repair if required

Liaising with, and supporting, our care home‑based Maintenance Operatives, including assisting with the induction and training of new starters

Ensuring that all health and safety and compliance checks are carried to deadlines, and all policies and guidelines are adhered to at all times

Working on call as and when required to support our care home outside of hours

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You hold a building/electrical/plumbing qualification or have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a property maintenance or general repairs role. Previous experience in a site management role and experience managing consultants, contractors and contracted suppliers would be advantageous. Friendly and approachable, you’ll have a good understanding of building services including, heating, hot and cold‑water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing. You understand the importance of maintaining high standards and have knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and compliance. You can work flexibly to meet demands and you’re always happy to help the wider team. You’ll enjoy working with others and building relationships with our residents.
